Leonardo DiCaprio has purchased a Hudson River–facing apartment apartment in the Riverhouse building in Manhattan. The new tower, which has been rising in Battery Park City, is LEED-certified gold by the Green Building Council. DiCaprio has long supported environmentally-friendly causes, and said “Riverhouse is a prime example of how green technology is both accessible and achievable for new residential developments—it is a groundbreaking building.”
The 264-unit condominium building was constructed with non-polluting materials and finishes, and features a fresh air filtration system, water treatment facility, and solar panels. Occupancy is scheduled for this summer.
The glass high-rise includes an indoor lap pool, media cafe, fitness center, landscaped terrace, dog spa, and don’t forget the Action Center to End World Hunger.
