MTA service with a smile.
This weekend a group of “MTA Service Specialists” took to the subways and did their part to bring some civility back to subway travel. The women, who are part of a performance group called “Boring Incorporated,” are peeved about the MTA’s failure to enact promised service improvements that were supposed to result from the recent fare hike.
The group, decked out in 1960s-style flight attendant uniforms, started their trip at Union Square and offered complimentary snacks, water, juice, hand sanitizer, and breath mints to passengers on the 4, E, L, and N trains from a rolling cart.
Spotting the ladies in Times Square, a wide-eyed rider was quoted, “With these girls, I’d be on the train all day. You’d have 1,000% ridership.”
